Small But Mighty
We’re converting our modest family farm into a sanctuary for birds, bees, butterflies, trees, frogs, bats, preying mantises, snakes (yes, snakes!) and - the occasional human.
Doing our part for the planet: re-wilding our nine acres of pasture and hay fields, creating biodiversity and restoring habitat.
The Reese Family Farm started in 1977, when Josh Reese retired from the Marine Corps and moved his family from VA back to OR (where he grew up).
We were a small family farm for many years - raising goats, cows, horses, chickens, ducks and geese, participating in 4-H activities, hosting extended family gatherings, cultivating large gardens, fishing, playing, churning butter, picking cherries, canning vegetables, and selling hay.
We’re now on a mission to convert our traditional farm into something new, or rather, something old. We’re literally going back to our “roots” - planting trees, re-wilding our fields, adding more flowers, cultivating native plants, restoring habitats and preserving biodiversity. Our humble nine acres is becoming a place to rejuvenate, connect, and create.
